Description
About appearance of crucian there is no sense to tell so far as it to you is well-known. The crucian differs from other fishes quite markedly the trunk which carries in itself round and somewhat "character of body", flattened from sides, considerably exceeding the bream. It differs from carp in the fact that the crucian "does not carry moustaches" and of course flattened trunk, and also the smaller number of pharyngeal teeth (4 from each of the parties). As the crucian can be found in the most different conditions of dwelling, naturally he has the subspecies that differ from the brother as shape of trunk (round, oblong) and coloring (gold, silvery).
